Would/have you ever taken pictures of people who have died at an accident scene? If not, what do you think of the people who do?

No, I think this is rather morbid. I've seen them posted on Facebook and other places. We need to preserve some amount of human decency.
No and I would not. I cannot keep my eyes on an accident scene for too long, forget about pictures. It just makes me sad for a while, and it's even more sad if people take pictures of that.
No. I think they do nothing for human dignity.
No, that's sounds like a callous, nasty thing to do. Curiosity doesn't trump other people's privacy or respect for the dead and their families. Also, people rubbernecking might get in the way of the emergency services.
I totally agree with Jennifer on this one.
I find it would depend on the situation, like if I was the first there after the crash or something. A photo (not that I may think of it at the time) may help the family/friends or authorities to try and identify the victims, depending on other circumstances.
Of course not. Does a question like this really need to be asked?
If I were THE first person on the scene I would, & promptly hand them to Police, upon their arrival!
As that's unlikely to happen, I'm not going to worry about it.
I do NOT gawk, slow down to check out accidents. Let the Authorities' get on with their job!
I agree with donjo on this. If I was first on the scene and in a remote location and I thought photos would help police I would take them. Otherwise I wouldn't. It is disrespectful to take them for other reasons.
Although thinking about my Grandmother's death. It was expected and I loved her a lot, I might take a photo for a family member to reassure them that she died peacefully if it was beneficial.
This is just ghoulish. I'd never take photos whatever the reason.
I have always been very anti photographs as in photographs taken on phones. There is a case in NSW of late that involves a nurse taking photographs of a women anaesthetised and in lithotomy. The nurse then spread the photos around for everyone in the operating theatre and recovery room to laugh at. The patient was a very large lady. Fortunately, the surgeon phoned the patient a day or so post-operatively and informed her that this invasion of privacy had occurred. People need to think very carefully before becoming "snap happy". Some professions don't believe in karma…..but I think they should.
No, never. I had a neighbour who wanted to run two doors down to the scene of a fatal crash to have a look. I could have slapped her! I was too busy ringing triple zero.
No! That is completely morbid and sick. Any person doing that, needs help ASAP!
No, I don't think that would be a nice thing to do,it's just too sad and upsetting, I think people should put themselves in the position of the family, who have to deal with the loss.
Unless you are forensics then you have no place on earth to be taking photos of deceased crash victims. Any one who does is callous heartless disrespectful and has no sense of decency.
No, certainly not, (unless it was my job to take the photos.)
No way too ghoulish as well as disrespectful. Was taken aback when mother in law (of my daughter) took photos of my daughter in her coffin.
oh that IS awful - feel for you as my daughter also died, so I know what that feels like.
