Would you sell your hair?

I wouldn't sell it, but I would donate it to a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients. I know a few people who have done that and it seemed like a great thing to do.
Sadly when I had my very long hair cut really short, my hair was in poor condition as I had dyed it a lot, so no-one wanted it :(

Oh Verity :( I posted my comment and then read your's. I never colored my hair or got them treated in any way and I am glad I read this. Another reason I should keep them natural. Thanks a bunch !

Yes absolutely :) I think it's a great way to help others, if you can!

I have nothing against the idea but I'd have to grow it a lot longer to do that and the hassle isn't worth the money.

Btw, I read/saw in a doco that most of the hair used in extensions in developed countries is hair that was donated by believers at temples in India, so they didn't get paid for it and are being exploited considering heaps of money is made from it and none of it goes back to the very poor owners of the hair.

You can give your hair to some organisations who make 'wigs' for people who have lost theirs..... due to cancer.
If my hair was quite long, and I wanted it short, then yes I would.
I have even seen one little girl of (maybe 8 or 9) having her hair cut, and then donating it for people with cancer....It was to be used at a later date.
That is truly a gift of love.

There's nothing wrong with selling my hair but I just couldn't bear to have it cut. I've have to be pretty broke to even consider it.

I do not want to sell my hair, but I do want to donate them. I actually have been looking for a good place where I can do this. It can be used to make a wig for cancer patients.

no, my hair was cut short when I was in year 1 many many years ago, I also have my daughters hair which was cut in year 2 .
it is interesting to see what color our hair was then as of today, hair still in very good condition.

I hope that I am never in the position to sell my hair as that would mean I am desperate and short of money (again - to explain, I sold blood for money many years ago), donating it to the cancer patients is better....

Well I would, but i think finding a buyer might be a tad difficult. Might be just as difficult to find someone who wanted it as a donation.

my long hair was cut short when I was about 14 still have it also have daughters hair cut when she was about the same age. I would not sell it.
how many remember the exact color of their hair at that age,
