I prefer group fitness, as long as I'm not in the company of the mega-fit.
They're both good. If you need results in a hurry, a PT is good. If you know what you want to achieve and you're self motivated, group fitness classes are sensational :)
I am not a big group training type of person, so a personal trainer would be my choice.

Personal, because the workout can be tailored to your individual needs.
I am sort of on the fence- I like group classes that are small enough that you still get some personal attention. That way you can be certain you are using good technique, but you aren't being watched the whole time :)
PT for me too any day to watch you, motivate you and keep you interested to get to where you want to get too.
I have achieved amazing results at the with him at the YMCA Ashburton. In fact all the staff are just so encouraging and friendly, but 10/10 to my trainer.
