Yes, I make "spetslea" which is spellt incorrect but is a recipe handed down to me by my mother and is little pasta where you add Jarlsberg cheese in the middle, and top with caramelised onions.
It is SO, SO delicious.
I would not make the Italian type spaghetti myself as too much work when there are a lot of different types around.
Here is the pasta dish that I make

SPATZLEA
I think my son in law makes that one, Finy. He loves making his own pasta and has his own little machine. I can't say I would be bothered just for myself.
(Also . . . if I made the Spatzlea . . . I would eat it ALL!)
Is your son in law German? You can now buy the machines here. you could not eat it all, depending on how much you make! with my recipe it is just NOT possible to eat that much and my friend who comes down from the country for it, and I just drool as we make it!
He sure is and I'll bet the pasta machine is German too. I must ask him.
No. I don't have the patience. It takes long enough to get dinner ready as it is, without extra to do.
Well I have never made it.
I do know it is amazzzzing! made by hand.
Maybe not now, at this time in life food is not one of my 'things' in life.
Have enough really to do, so will give it a miss sadly.
No, I have not, but I'd like to sometime. See if it is that much better.
I do not bother to make my own these days as I have trouble doing so many things which I'd love to do. However.... When I was I little girl, my mother would make HER own pasta and I would watch, utterly fascinated!!!! To this day,I still adore home made ravioli the best of all!!!
My wife made fettuccine yesterday.
Lucky man :-)) I bet it was yumdiddlyumptious.
I have never made it. I don't have enough time to spend cooking
Definitely not! Have no interest in doing so!
I only eat Spaghetti, so just buy a packet of it at Woolies', & cook in M/W, to have with my home-made 'Bol'.
I don't make my own. I am not all that fond of fresh pasta. I like dried, I like Delverde brand. I prefer the #11 linguini and their instant lasagna.
No, because I wouldn't have anywhere to keep a 'pasta machine'! But I'm pretty sure our 2 daughters have a pasta machine each, both of them being chefs/cooks at 1 time or another.
