Would you call yourself TECH SAVVY?

For my age, I would call myself tech savvy! Most people around my age cannot do as much as I can with technology.

However, comparing myself to, say, my children, I am not at all tech savvy and know nothing.

I got a new i phone a week ago and was amazed at just some of the things it can do and have had the last i phone for about 2 years and did not know much at all.

Have done some very interesting things with it....so maybe I am.

I used to work with computers for a living, and I used to consider myself very tech savvy. That was a long time ago, and my skills are out of date along with most of my tech knowledge. Still consider more savvy then most lay-people.

Being an IT person by profession , I would say Yes ! But I am not too crazy about new phones and fancy new laptops/ desktops in my personal life . I just need one that does the job it is supposed to do and not keep crashing on me.

I reckon I am approx. just over halfway savvy, definitely not very savvy. This is because I am not terrible interested, as I have said before on this forum...I get on, do what I have to do and get off.....I prefer to get out of the house and I do socialize a lot.

Hmmm tech savvy, no, not really. Though it's all relative - compared to my parents, I am extremely tech savvy, compared to my (4 year old) son, not at all.
I can do more than basics but nothing too fancy. Fortunately for me, my brother is a world champion computer geek and can sort out anything likely to make my head explode :)

I know enough to suit my own needs which are rather modest compared to most other people!! As long as I can send and receive emails, safely purchase things online, and google information for research,then I am more than content!

Reasonably tech savvy and not afraid to try things. But I draw the line at fixing one - then I need help.

Definitely. I have even done a bit of coding. I am no expert though. I need the hubby who is trained in the field when I get stuck.

Work was computerised in Jan'74. I enjoyed working on a computer very much, & that was for the next 40 years'!

I knew the very basic how to 'reboot', but beyond that, needed the 'tech savvy blokes' or even 'the tech' to fix!

Wasn't interested in that side of computers, still not!

I know enough to get by. My daughter needs to help me sometimes but I usually sort things out myself.

Hell NO! So no, not even the basics! I can't even find someones phone No to call them from my mobile! I have a 2nd hand $200 mobile phone, & I've been shown how to use it, but by the time I need to use it, I've forgotten what I was supposed to do! Ummm!
