Yes I do -I would not have before I worked in an op shop[ but the other day I got a pair of Doc Marten boots that look fabulous at a great price.
I would however not buy sandals but only winter shoes where I wear socks.
We DO sometimes get new shoes in and I would of course, buy these also!
It is surprising how many people do buy sandals though.
I have. I spray them with a fungicide before wearing them.
Way ahead of you!
THAT's the reason I would NEVER buy clothes, & especially, shoes, from an op shop.
You'd never know what foot disease's the previous owner had!
My mother's drummed in mortal fear of veruccas stops me from buying 2nd hand shoes.
I would only buy shoes from an op shop if they are brand new! The Endeavour Shop here sells lots of brand new shoes and clothes as well,at really great prices. I often purchase gorgeous clothes there and they always get commented on! However,it IS a lot more difficult for me to find shoes there these days, as I wear Orthaheels all the time now as I find they really do help with my pain issues. In the past though,I often did get new shows from this store as well as clothes.
I have, but they usually look new if I buy them. I don't buy many shoes that way, I usually prefer to buy shoes new.
I have done. One of my favourite ever pairs of work shoes came from an opshop. They were comfy enough to wear all day when I worked in retail.
I haven't but I would if I really liked a pair
I have done this a few times and they hve been great...I always wipe them out with something anticeptic and leave them outside for awhile before wearing...
Only if brand new, and I have been quite lucky :)
So that's a yes...
I have bought some lovely dress shoes from op shops and as long as they are in good condition and clean I have no problems with it. I clean them inside and out before I wear them.
I've never bought shoes from an op shop, but I suppose I would if I found a pair I liked.
I never used to, but now yes, as sometimes they are just too gorgeous not to! Though as everyone else has said, they need to be fairly new looking. Just recently I got a pair that I could tell had only been worn maybe once, as there was no wear/scuffing on the bottom at all.
Yes many times, can get some great footwear from op shops and some better quality than others depending on the area, I spray them with eucalyptus spray etc before wearing of course...
yes! they are actually bit more comfortable than shoes from a store..though could be too worn in if you don't get a good pair!
I have done so and I was incredibly lucky to score brand new, never been worn, still with the labels on shoes.
Having said that if they took my fancy and they had been pre-loved I would go there.
I agree with Finy, I would buy winter shoes where I would be wearing socks.
Regardless though, I give them a wipe down with alochol wipes (if the shoe allows for it) and/or spray with Glen 20 a few times over a couple of days and leave outside to air out before wearing
Yes if they are in good condition.
Why Not?
I never buy second hand shoes.
Perhaps if they were as new condition.
But hygiene foremost in mind.
