After reading an article on how fish is farmed in Asia, I would no longer buy fish imported fish.

I only buy local or Australian/NZ/US fish even though it is far more expensive.

This includes prawns and other shellfish.

I ALWAYS eat locally caught fish!!! I rarely have to spend money on this wonderful food as I have friends who belong to the Reef Fishing Club upp here in Nth Qld and I get the loveliest,as well as the freshest fish at the very best price ever..... $zero!!! And my dear friends even fillet it for me!! When I DO have the genuine need to BUY fish,I will only ever purchase LOCALLY caught, and I do mean LOCAL which is just off the coast from Townsville. YUM!!! I am very fortunate, and I do know it!!
I try and buy local fish because it's fresher

I always shop local.
I'm not an Australian national, however I will buy both imported as well as locally caught fish. It depends on the price and my desire at that time.
Prefer local

Honest answer.
We gave up fish nearly 4 years ago.
Why, jonaj? It's good for us! I always have grilled fish, & have done so for many years'. Also steam a whole fish in its' proper steamer, with either oranges & lemons inside it, or tomato & onion, with herbs. Yum! Cheers!

Only Aust'n or local!

Will NOT buy imported & that even goes for NZ fish, as well! Nothing whatsoever against New Zealanders', but there's always plenty from which I can choose from our waters & bays.
Only Australian. And definitely NO BASA. And what is bass anyway ?
The only fish I buy, is Tasmanian salmon cutlets, once a week, & we have also tin tuna once a week. That's it, as far as my buying of fish goes.
