No. I get all of my presents at resale shops since I am on disability. I already purchased a beautiful rug for my mother and need to get a hoodie for my son. You can get brand new items if you just look. My Christmas budget is $40. I also use free wrapping paper that my friend gave me that he received from a vendor and boxes from the post office that I get for free. What is funny is I always give the best gifts:)
I bought some calendars (yes call me old fashion but I collect snoopy and garfield to name a few) on line as some are difficult to track down. Otherwise not much else and like most of you not many gifts either.
I need to buy both birthday and Christmas presents at this time of year. I have picked up a few things online. As an artist I try to support other artist and try to buy gifts from their work. It can mean a lot to an artist to spend money supporting them, even if it is just a card or bookmark.
Thanks, miro. That is helpful! To be honest, I was picturing rubber/plastic thongs, haha, so thanks for clarifying that. RE Lemon dress/lemon tree. I like that you coordinated your outfit. LOL. I appreciate that kind of playfulness. :-D
I have bought a few, that are not too expensive.
Too late to buy now from a lot of places overseas, they will just not get here in time..I'm nearly done anyway, started in Oct for a few things...Makes it less expensive, and I will make some things for good friends.Like my little plates I drill holes in, and make cake stands.
Vee, in the lemon question I think it was, you were asking me what my wedding outfit was like, that I took for the Bali wedding. It was a sleeveless round neck cotton dress, not tight fitting, with a waist, covered in lemons, green/black lemon leaves, with a tiny bit of lemon tree flowers. Evening type NON plastic/rubber!) green thongs, (really nice ones!!) & a very small yellow silk cross body bag with a very, very narrow black strap! I hope you'll now be able to visualise the outfit I wore now. I've since worn the dress on Xmas day '17 to my younger daughter's in-laws Xmas lunch, as they have a BIG lemon tree where their holiday house is, out of Melbourne, Vic. I'm not into wearing plain coloured 'floaty' hanky type dresses!!
