Green tea which is packed full of health benefits. Increases the metabolism, regulates glucose levels which is great for diabetics, reduces bad cholesterol, full of amino acids which enhance your mood and has high anti oxidant and anti inflammatory properties. Having said all that I must confess if I drink this life affirming drink on an empty stomach it makes me feel nauseous. So can't drink first thing in the morning.
I don't drink tea, but I like the smell of some loose leaf teas. I find black teas too strong, but I like the scent of white teas and fruity teas.
I prefer plain and simple green tea, although it often gives me heartburn.
If I drink any Chinese, it is only Green Tea.

I know boring...
I'm not keen on tea and the Chinese tea that I've had is no better than regular tea. In my opinion at least!
My absolute favourite tea is actually Japanese, rather than Chinese - Genmaicha - green tea with brown rice and little bits of popcorn in. It has the most wonderful flavour and is really nice to drink either hot or chilled.
Gunpowder Green Tea - the leaves are steamed & rolled before being dried. Rolling helps to maintain the aroma and limits damage in packing and transport. I also like white tea which tastes and looks more like a black tea but doesn't give me a headache like black tea does. I used to think it was the higher levels of tannin in black tea, but evidently green tea has very high levels of tannin!
I like green tea with a hint of ginger and I always squish a lemon in it. Its the first thing I drink daily
green tea with a touch of lemon and honey.
Jasmine tea has a wonderful aroma and tastes good too.
