I was home in bed -alone!
IN fact I was woken by these "bangs" and realised it was fireworks around 12.10 am in 2015.
You know you are old when you ignore New Years Eve!
Not OLD,Finy...Just rather sensible! I also was in bed at 10.30,and just happened to wake up with time enough to see the countdown!!! Then it was a matter of settling the poor dogs and going back to my lovely comfortable bed!!!
New Year's is always stressful for us. People nearby set of (illegal) fireworks. They've usually been partying for hours by then. Not a good mix, alcohol and explosives and we have wooden fences and verandahs.
Still no accents with those illegal fireworks, Gayle?
I had been gto bed and just somehow woke in time to see the Fireworks both on TV and also as they were let off in several venues close enough to my home that I could see them! I am afraid that I hate the waste of money which these enormous displays now cost as every city tries to out-do each other, but as much as this disgraceful amount of money literally going up in smoke,I deplore, absolutely and utterly the effect that these noisy and often dangerous items have upon the animals everywhere. It matters not to me whether we are discussing the domestic pets which try to find shelter from the noise,or all the hapless wildlife which has NO where at all to go! My heart breaks every single time I think of this. Poor dear little creatures!! Sorry to appear to be such a bore, but that is just the way I see it!!
I was home and watching the t.v. with my son...quite a show they put on, as always.
I was at home with my husband watching fireworks from our balcony
Often at home but this year, having been out for a meal with a small group of friends...I was at one of their places watching the Sydney fireworks, needless to say came home soon after...can't really take late nights anymore...
At home, with friends - we'd gone to the 9pm fireworks and run into them on the way home...we were trying to come up with the good things globally (not personally) that happened in 2014 - and only came up with 4!!
Sleeping soundly until 12:15.
In bed. Too tired to stay.
Asleep! Cat snoring at end of bed!
I went out to see a band with my husband. They stopped the music just before midnight and we all listened to the countdown.

At home with my husband. We watched the 9pm fireworks on tv, then at 11.55am, opened a bottle of bubbly for the midnight fireworks, with a few crackers with cheese.
