A few weeks ago a friend from work cooked south indian chicken curry with basmati rice, that was the best indian meal ever.

I went to the Tea Rooms up on Hervey's Range ,about 40 minutes north of here! I had the most incredibly deep apple pie which was just like my mum used to make so many years ago!

The Vine Inn in the Barossa Valley in South Australia. A little pricey but a lovely place and great meals.
Bought take-away from one of my local Fish & Chips. Really enjoyed it as their fish always fresh & good. Is seved with small Salad. Yum!
Just 3 days ago, (in July 2015). I met a primary
school friend for lunch in Kiama, (which is a 2 hr train trip for me!) We both had the fish & chip meal, & it tuned out to be $5.00 cheaper because we were Seniors! We didn’t even know the cafe had a seniors deal!
Last week. Spent a few days with my son and his partner. My son cooked the most amazing curry - it was gorgeous. He used a Jamie Oliver recipe which meant cooking all the ingredients from scratch.
Dinner at private Military Club, of which I'm a long-time Member.

Doing same this week, prior to seeing 'Les Miz'. So we're transported to/fro Theatre, then Supper at Club, after.

Very civilised!
3 days ago we met a couple of Canadian friends for lunch at Manly, NSW. They visit their daughter, son-in-law & 3 year old grandson, so we'll be having lunch with them again in August
or September. We always go to the Ivanhoe Hotel. The last 2 times we've sat out on the verandah, overlooking the 'plaza' I had the salt & pepper squid with chips, & my husband had a pizza. After lunch we usually have a long walk before buying a pack of 4 Aldi ice creams, & then going home. This time, instead of our usual walk, we went to a kids shop that was closing down to-day, & bought a whole lot of toys for 1/2 price!

I've just found this question again, & we ate at the cafe in the S.H.Ervin Gallery, in Sydney after an exhibition of Margaret Olley's, 3 days ago. In 2 days I'm supposed to be meeting a friend for lunch at Kiama, (if it doesn't rain) then 3 days later, breakfast at the restaurant, which is a 5 minute walk from where I live with a friend, & 4 of her friends. The following day I'm due to have brunch at a friends house. It's wonderful, when I don't have to cook!

I've just found the question again, while visiting our daughter & her partner in Melbourne Vic, where we have been for the past week, so yes, for the last 7 nights we've had wonderful dinners cooked by the both of them! And next Monday is my other 1/2's birthday, so I'm hoping I can take them all OUT for dinner!

It was a two for one deal at Maccas. I was starving as I hadn't eaten for 8 hours. Not healthy but it was the closest place to eat at the time.
