Where did you fly to last time you got on a plane?

Last time I went on a plane, I flew toSydney as I was taking a cruise from there.

I have not been on a plane however for over 2 years now, and do not miss it. don't much like planes.

We flew to Uluru in May last year to celebrate our 25rh wedding anniversary. Spent 5 days exploring and had a wonderful time. Had a room that looked straight at the "Rock" and it was amazing to watch it change colour!

My last flight on a plane was to return to Townsville,from a stay in hospital in Brisbane in 1997. A friend came to stay with my sone who was 12,and they had a ball living on various take away meals most nights!!! As take away has never been even a small aspect of our life,my son thought it was a real treat to help make up for his mum being away for so long. Funnily enough,he is now a chef!!

Antarctica, as you do!

Inaugural QANTAS day flight from here to there & back, 13 hours & 11673 Klms!
It was superb & the senery's unbelievable. Pack ice far as you can see, which was 165miles to Horizon.
Beats going by ship & a darn sight more comfortable. We went down to 10000' & saw Mawson's Hut. Spent three hours' flying HUGE figures-of-8 over Australian Territory. We've 41% of land mass there.
An experience nearly out of this world!

P.S. The headline picture of the QANTAS Boeing 747-400 ('Longreach') aircraft is THE actual aircraft I flew on, VH-OGL, 'City of Parkes'.

The 'Longreach' aircraft are manufactured with an additional fuel-tank, hence their literal name, plus historic Qantas association with the city of Longreach, Q'l'd
They're built for non-stop long distance flying.

I was coming home from Singapore where my son and family have lived for 10 years. My sister from the UK had met me at my son's and we had spent a fabulous few days in Singapore and then were flying back to Perth where she spent another 3 lovely weeks with me. A very precious time as it was the first time my sister had been with me since my husband died.
In 2 weeks I am flying again to Singapore to stay with my family.

Just got home last week. Flew from Australia to Frankfurt via Bangkok with THAI and then on to Croatia with Lufthansa & Croatia Airines. Can't say I love getting on planes & the drama with security screening etc. but if you want to experience other countries, it is the best & quickest way to get there. We normally fly somewhere at least once a year.

We flew to Melbourne, last month, & stayed 10 days. We stayed with our youngest daughter & her wonderful partner, & took out our granddaughters who are owned by our eldest daughter! We were only staying for 7 days, but I had a bad cold/cough for the last 3 days.

Last 2 flights were to Coolangatta. Before that it was Adelaide and prior to that USA and Europe before that. Next year it will be Amsterdam flying back from Budapest.
