Nappies

My dad was recently saying that he hasn't changed a nappy in around 25 years.

When was the last time that you changed a nappy?

Hmmm June last year. I think. It's a bit hazy now to be honest, though it was a big deal at the time!
Thankfully about 40 years ago!

My youngest is now potty trained but sleeps in a nappy in case of accidents. He usually wakes up with a dry nappy so I'm almost done.

I have never changed a nappy
You haven't lived!

LOL I have to agree with Jonaj! Although I don't think that I had changed a nappy before I had my own kids.

The only nappies I've ever changed were on those fake babies you have to look after in Child Studies and I doubt that's too much like the real thing - they don't squirm, they don't make mess and they do not smell (thankfully.)
Where and when did you go to school? We never had a subject like that (I went to school in Queensland, Australia, finished in 1997).
I went to high school in the northern suburbs of Adelaide; left in 2013.
How interesting! I've also never done a subject like this - but it sounds like it could have potential to be very useful. Parenting and child raising is such a complex topic though...nappy changes is the easiest part of it!

Did 'Mothercraft' at School in 1966. Boring as bat@&$-!
Nothing like the 'real' thing whatsoever!

I can't remember. I haven't had children myself so I think it would have been when I was a 10 year old helping mum with a younger sister.
my brother is now 17 years old and i use to help baby when mom gone to work
A couple of hours ago. Actually it's probably about time I did it again now that you mention it.
I've been out of the house for 24 hours so it was yesterday morning. I get my partner to do as many nappy changes as possible on the weekends since I'm in charge of it all week!

Younger baby now 26 & expecting her own bub!
Well lucky dad. Though I must admit that the Grandad in this house has probably never changed a grandchild's nappy. I occasionally have the privilege when they sleep over. Can't wait for the youngest to get the message. I think he may be on the cusp.
Today morning :)

The last time I changed a nappy was when my son was about 3-4years old, and now he is 16 yrs old.
Last time I changed a nappy, the nappy was a terry towel nappy…..that long ago. The disposable nappies available now seem so easy but Im not sure how you dispose of them. Just in the garbage can I guess, but they probably stink a bit.
Well, I'm not in them yet . . . .so probably about 43 years ago. Wait . . I think I did change Himself's grandchild's nappy (very badly) . . so about eight years ago maybe. I was pretty clueless as I remember it because we had no disposables back 43 years ago.

Crustless quiche (which I guess is technically a frittata) is a great gluten free option
