Yes. Music helps me get very focussed.
When reading or studying no I don't because I find it distracting. If I am doing my writing I like to, as it gets the creative juices flowing. Funny how some things you can have music, but others you can't.
I agree, Lluxi. I think it also depends on the kind of music.

When I am studying, I like to listen to instrumental music. YouTube has some lovely instrumental music. I like this one in particular - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5zUDrNom9Y

BIG NO.
I am usually up in the wee hours of the morning when everyone else is sleeping getting my work done. I have to listen to music of have some noise going so I do not fall asleep.
Cant do it. Just distracts me.
Very, very seldom. I have recently done a crossword with a talking book in the background but music distracts me and I can't cope with a lot of noise at the best of times.

Yes! Depending on mood I'll listen to different music. If I'm tired I listen to heavy metal, or linkin park, or gojira. If my mind is too active I listen to more calming music.
No, I rarely listen to music apart from in the car.

I enjoy music but don't have it on when I am concentrating. I like music when I am driving and doing housework.
I like to hear environmental sounds so find music makes them hard to hear. I think that came about from being a solo parent and needing to listen out for my son and impending danger, I guess.
When a teenager, I'd have Radio on whilst doing homework.

Can't read, & have music playing, as too distracting.

Most other 'household' workings', I'll have a CD playing.

Love listening to music whilst eating, with a good Aussie glass of 'Red'.........bliss!
Music if it doesn't have words. Otherwise it is distracting.
Yes, I am finding songs with lyrics more and more distracting as I work. I much prefer something instrumental.
