I have found some rhubarb growing in my garden and it now has large leaves and the stalks are quite thick. But I don't really know what to look for to know when it is ready to cut. When do you pick rhubarb?
I have only grown it once and it did not work but I would pick it when it is already red as against it being still green as I think it would be sweeter then.
They don't look like rhubarb plants, in your photo, Annlu! My in-laws always grow it in their previous garden. You cook it with some sugar. You can also cook it with apple slices. It's yummy cold over ice-cream or with Greek yogurt on top of it.
