Whether you're a stay at home mum, a housewife, or a career based woman; having some necessary time out/R&R/me time is absolutely essential. When do you give yourself a break? When you start to feel tired? Unwell? Stressed? A reward for hard work? When you know you just need a break? That time of the month? You've achieved something really important? You've won something? Or for any other reason.
Your body is tired and it aches for the coming. Forced rest for sure. Otherwise, when I know I have worked really hard for something, such R&R treats come more often. Yes, this has happened since I started my freelance writing career two-years ago. More holidays these days. They're essential.
In my case it's generally when I'm ready to collapse. I tend to work 7 days a week, as I love what I do, but occasionally exhaustion catches up with me. Then I jump in the car with junior in tow and we set off on adventures and away from the computer.
