oh yum, was that good! I could eat it all over again!
The last thing that was sweet that I made was the above picture of custard/apricot pie.
It had little sugar and was delicious and I ate about ¾ of it on my own!
I very rarely make anything sweet, but it was son, daughter in law, and my daughters boyfriends birthdays about a month ago. I made a giant apple crumble for us all for dessert, plus a batch of mars bar muffins to have with coffee. It was all very yummy, and everyone enjoyed it immensely !!
I haven't made anything sweet for I can't remember now long. We did have 30gs of salted caramel ice-cream each the other night, because it was Teachers Day, Children's Week & some other reason, & we still have a square of chocolate after dinner.
Just 2 days ago I made 2 loaves of banana bread for my grandson's school fete, plus another loaf for my youngest daughter to share for afternoon tea at her work place and a dozen apple and cinnamon muffins for us to have with our coffee. The banana bread I made this time I used brown sugar instead of white and it turned out a little darker, and 4 over-ripe bananas and all agreed it tasted better than my usual recipe. I was going to make biscuits with my youngest grandson today but his father is home with a cold so we will make them tomorrow. Not a week goes by where I don't bake for the family.
