I had them last on Mothers Day.
My daughter in law took me out for dinner and also brought me a beautiful bunch of flowers.
I don't buy them for myself however -often think about it but then can't be bothered!
I often pick a flower out of our gardens here at the strata units....other than that probably my Birthday in January...
I have fresh flowers on my kitchen table today! It's our daughter's 21st birthday and we had a family brunch this morning so had fresh flowers on the table.
Right now! I have flowering plants :)
I have also just thrown out a bunch of cut flowers that I was given last week. I often buy a bunch or two from the supermarket, or friends give them when they come for dinner. I think having fresh flowers makes my home seem brighter and happier.
About 4 months ago. A friend brought these beautiful hydrangeas for me straight from her garden.
When I was little, I thought bees' lived in Hydrangeas as I got stung twice, whilst watering my Mother's garden, which was huge.
So never planted them when I had my own house!
This is a picture of them
What lovely soft colours!

i am older than you as my children are far older -my daughter would be 46 if she were alive! you have a 22 year old so I am probably 20 years older! where is your picture -unfair advantage over me!!

Not for quite a while, but now that spring is almost here, hopefully I'll have fresh flowers in my home more often.
I always have fresh flowers in the house - I really think the cheer the place up
Right now! When it is Jonquil season, and they're cheap, I buy them each week for myself...
I've never had fresh flowers in my house that sits in a jar. The only flowers that enter my house are the ones that I use to surprise my wife from time to time. Then she lets them dry so that she can archive them in her stash of previous flowers and love notes that I had given her before.
Two bunches. One from my daughter for no particular reason and one arrangement brought home from a dinner I helped to host.I love flowers in the house. If there are none around I sometimes put a bunch of herbs in a jar in the kitchen.
I don't remember. I like flowers but my husband feels they are just a waste of money and space.
Last Week and due for new ones this week as I tend to reward myself for doing housekeeping. Tends to make my home brigher having fresh flowers in a vase.
I had a huge bunch sent to me last week when I retired.
I love Carnations & buy two bunches every two weeks, different colours. They'so uplifting to look at & bring me such joy in their beauty!
Yesterday. Bought a spray of beautiful purple Carnations!
They look SO good sitting in their vase, on Kitchen bench! Love 'em!
I had 3 stalks of 16 pink lily buds that lasted 14 days, then we went away for 8 days, & when we came home, last saturday, my husband asked if I’d like another bunch of flowers, so I choose dark red lily buds this time. Of cause if you buy buds & not buy bunches of flowers already flowering they’ll last a lot longer. I change the water every 3 days, & cut of a tiny bit end of each stalk, which also helps flowers to live longer.
My son bought me a beautiful bunch of pink lilies a few days ago - they are gorgeous and smell divine. They are one of my favourite flowers. My favourite flower of all time is the scarlet wild poppy - has many memories for me. Unfortunately you can't pick them as they die very quickly, but to stand in a massive field of wild red poppies is indescribable. It is so beautiful it can bring me to tears. The flowers I can't stand are carnations.
I buy fresh flowers for the house every fortnight. The house looks so beautiful, fresh and colorful with fresh flowers. They really look beautiful when I am expecting company as well as day to day.
Mother's Day . . . from my daughter.
