I do not swim in the sea,In fact I cannot swim at all, having nearly drowned as a small child in the ocean and never having gotten over the fear!! I do,however enjoy beach-combing and finding nature's little treasures to use in craft projects. And I actually love to watch the surf from a safe distance, especially on a rainy day!
Living up near the great barrier reef though,I have not done this for over 30 years!!
I can't swim, (not more than a couple of strokes anyway) so I stay clear of the ocean. I do like walking along the beach on a winter's day or looking into rock pools at the wonderful sea creatures there.
Actually swimming, wow, too long ago to remember! Probably on honeymoon in Morocco in 2005, which would be the Atlantic Ocean at a guess.
I have paddled in the North Sea at the Tynemouth beach near us here in England. It was October and freezing, so no hope of anything more than my wellies going in!!
Gettine dejevu about this question...thought I had answered it but apparently not!
I hadn't been for a swim in the ocean for a couple of years and funnily enough...I went twice last week, once with a friend and once on my own, before the seabreeze comes in from 8.30-11.30 it is beautiful at Port Beach, I floated on the gentle swell.....and weather perfect for it now..hummm
As a kid growing up about 4-5 days a week.We lived at Coogee for some time in Sydney. The beach was my absolute.
Taught myself to swim by watching others...I have not been in now for many many years.Maybe too long. Love the Ocean!
