My favourite cake is a fruit cake that is very dark, fruit heavy, contains lots of alcohol and prunes to give it that sticky, heavy consistency.

A TIRAMISU cake. YUM! Is there such a cake as a salted caramel cake? That would be my second choice, & then a dark chocolate cake, as my 3rd cake choice. I would defiantly call a pavlova, a dessert, not a cake! But I guess it is a cake to some people!

I used to love Black Forest Cake. I don't know if my taste has changed since I started eating healthier or if the cake has changed but I haven't liked it the last couple times I had some. Nothing else appeals to my taste although they are easy on the eyes.

My favourite cake would be a European torte called dobos torte, it has like a burnt sugar crust on top of the cake, and goes well with the rest of sponge, I think it's either hungarian or croatian boy is it good.
