Well lets say it was about 5 million dollars.
I would pay off my sons home, but a little bit bigger one for me and my last son.
But here's the 'kicker'!
For my boys to have their homes paid off, they would have to go...with me on a 'missionary trip' for 1 month. They would have to come up with ways, and ideas to help people who are starving.
Reason being....they would come back very different people.I love my sons, but
I would like them to have that experience...It would mean a great deal to me, as I have seen things they haven't.A lot of the money would go into that project.
Pay off my house, and the houses of my friends and families. For me, there would be no point me being rich if I couldn't share that with those closest to me. I'd also spend money on travelling and would make sure my children were taken care of. I'd want to donate to a couple of my favorite charities too.
I'd also throw a big party with lots of cake :-)
I would give a portion away to charity/church. I would pay the mortgage on my house. I will still have plenty left over to buy some properties and rent them out.
I would develop a system to house and support women who find themselves with an unexpected pregnancy and no family support.
This is an area that has been neglected by our community leading to the death of thousands of children every year. It would explain to these people their options and provide support they need. Once it was operating I would then establish a fund raising system to ensure that the organisation could sustain itself and expand.

I would take a trip to Europe and do things I have always wanted to do, like bungee jumping. I would also visit Disneyland in America. With the remaining money, I would bank and make money off of it.

First thing I would do is buy an exotic island. However I may not win that much so I would settle for buying a house and taking the family on a long vacation! ;)
Buy a house, a nice car and travel the world. I really would.
Buy a house in Sydney. It costs about a million to buy a decent one in a good suburb these days. With the rest, I would take a portion to travel with, and invest the rest to make it last for a long time.
I have lists according to how big the win would be. First would always be making sure I had enough money to be able to retire. Then I could could devote my time to helping out family and favourite charities and doing things I love. Luckily I'm almost on this path even without Lotto. If there was lots of extra cash then I'd buy a block of flats and rent to them to people with problems.
Pay off any debts.
Buy a block of land, & build a house, the plan of which would be to my specifications!
Buy a new car.
Donate a goodly amount to the RSPCA.
Ensure my children set up for life.
Set up Trust Funds for my Grandkids.
Travel on 'Captain's Choice' trips to exotic locations!

Invest the balance for retirement!
