What was your favourite childhood pet?

My cat and goldfish were my favourite pets but Barry ( the cat) always tried to eat the fish. He never touched my fish again when he fell into the tank one day.

It somehow feels wrong to choose a favourite pet from all the ones you've had - almost like being asked which is your favourite child - but I must admit that I have a soft spot for Josh, my rabbit. I got him shortly after I turned8, and had him until I was 19. He was with me all the way through a majority of my childhood, so I got closer to him than any other.

We rescued a calf when I was younger and called her Shadow. She followed us everywhere. Sadly we had to give her to a farmer when we moved country! :(

I've never had a pet, but I have recently been hanging out with my friend who has a spoodle and she is such a pleaser! I hope to have a cute spoodle one day :)

I've been through dogs and cats (too much trouble) mice, guinea pigs and quail. I am, however, never happy unless I have some chooks - preferably bantams but really any kind. I adore them. No real reason. I just think an Aussie home should have a big yard, a chook house and a verandah. oh yeah and a pumpkin vine out the back.
