A fruit flan. Chocolate mud cakes are so cliche.
My favourite is Pavlova, followed by a caramel mudcake.
My favourite birthday cake has always been Colin the Caterpillar. It is a Chocolate log cake with smarties.
For my 60th this year .........this one.

Thanks:) I do love creating cake art! More of my cakes are on my Facebook page - sharms delights.
It's my birthday in 5 days time and I wish I could have a cake from Sweet Art in Paddington, NSW.
How was your Sweet Art cake, Amelia? Is that a photo of it in your reply? I've been past the shop 100's of times, & I ALWAYS look in the window. Someone has said they aren't very nice to eat, but they are lovely to look t! 1 of my b-i-l's actually did some renovations to the shop, like years ago!

I love any of the cakes from Patisserie Valerie. They are gorgeous. Failing that, I always make this: http://recipeyum.com.au/salted-caramel-chocolate-torte/

It is amazing, and really impressive for very little work.
I love carrot cakes with cream cheese icing. Simple icing sugar roses would be lovely on top.
I love that icing! :) yummmmmie

I would love to have chocolate cakes with red roses on it :-).
BIG chocolate cake. Did i say BIG?
That would be the most decadent of Chocolate Cakes!
Then next fav is Pavlova!
You only live once!
In the shape of a horse, as ice cream! Are they STILL made?
Or as a 'flat' cake, a traditional, beautiful 'portrait' of horse head & neck, with colouring as close to a horse's 'chestnut' colour!

Don't ask for much, do I? Lol!
I've a leaning towards Italian cakes as they always taste yummy. As for a theme I don't have one in mind but my daughter is throwing me a party next month and she always goes way over the top with specialty birthday cakes so will have to wait and see what I get and thinking it will be in mauve/purple tones
I would love a fruit cake, really moist, over-heavy with fruit including prunes, lots of brandy, no glace fruit at all, dark, dark because of the prunes that are in there. And a cup or two of tea.
