What is your favourite zoo animal?

Of course, given my background in breeding llamas, I would have to say a llama, though perhaps my question meant an animal that you did not have in captivity in which case I would say a giraffe as they are so stately and tall.

Elephants! I know that some people don't agree with zoos. But zoos actually do a lot for animals particularly with their breeding programmes

Great point about the breeding programs, Alex. Australia Zoo is very conservation based with much of their profits going towards animal rescue.

Although they are scary - the Crocodile is a very impressive zoo animal. My kids got to hold a baby Saltwater croc and they loved it.

Yes, we did too in Darwin -the mouth was taped however!

All of the monkey types, & giraffes come in 2nd, but only just. I have seem them in the wild, & there beautiful animals.Elephants are my 4rd favourite, which we’ve also seen in the wild. They wet so close to our open jeep we were in, we weren’t aloud to take a photo. They have VERY long eyelashes!
