I just love soup !!! We like to have it once a week all year round, unless it is 40C of course. My favourite soup would have to be pumpkin soup and potato and leek. Minestrone and Lamb shank soup are great for cold winters nights, and M
That should be Morroccan chicken soup ( somehow half my answer went missing ), which is also very hearty. My favourite would have to be pumpkin soup, especially if it has Thai flavouring. I love Sweet Potato and Coriander as well, which has a bit of spice in it, so warms you up on a cold winters day. My friend made it at his cafe before the cafe burnt down. It was the best Sweet Potato and Coriander soup I had ever had. If I was home, I would go there for lunch sometimes, and savour every mouthful whilst reading the newspaper.
I love soup, made with a good home-made stock. I have a big cook-up on a cold arvo & just about everything goes into the soup. It's basically a minestrone but with grunt! I also love fish soup made with a fish stock, home-made. It's yum. In fact I just live on good soup through winter.
Yum. Soups are my favourite food I think. If I could get away with it I would eat soup all year round, but my husband may object.
My favourite soup is made with home made chicken stock, chicken and every vegetable with broken up spaghetti, If I have fresh herbs growing I throw a generous amount in too. Sometimes more like a stew than a soup.
As we eat a mainly vegetarian diet the varieties I make are pumpkin, vegetable, tomato or beetroot soups.
I love to add a generous amount of herbs, ginger, garlic, lemon zest and and chilli to really ward off the germs. Maybe a good dollop of yoghurt on top, or sometimes cheese in the bottom. I don't think I have ever made two soups the same.
