Marinated Roast Leg o' Lamb, with roast spuds, punky & carrots, with lashings of pan-drippings' made Gravy.
Also love Roast Chook, with same above Veggies, & Gravy! Yummy!
IMO, a Roast of any description is the easiest meal to prepare. Just throw all ingredients' in the pan, place in oven & that's it! Enjoy!
Yep, me too. Also love roast pork and crackling but can just eat the crackling and forget the meat.
Oh! fran, you ARE funny! I was ROFL!
I'll see you, & raise you one.........I don't eat Fruit Mince Pies. I just buy a bottle of Fruit Mince Mixture, & eat that, when I need a 'fix' of spicy fruit! Lol!
Leg lamb , many years ago also roast beef sadly to say the butchers do not use the correct cut beef anymore so the modern day version is is not worth buying.
Oh! flaga....I've never had problems getting a good piece of roasting beef, be it fillet, blade, or topside, from my Butcher. I enjoy tremendously a medium/rare piece of Rib Fillet, cooked low & slow in conv. oven, with all the trimmings! Makes great Sanger filling next day!
Maybe you need to change Butcher's! Cheers!
I meant a rolled roast beef do not see it nowadays the one which they placed wooden sticks through and tied with string.
Oh! flaga, we can still get that cut of meat at any Butcher here!
Personally, I've never liked them as more fat/gristle/tendons etc than proper meat, so that's why I stay with cuts mentioned above! Chees!
thats right you can still buy them from the butcher although now the butchers do not make the roast up with the correct cut of beef and yes they are not worth eating , by using the cheaper cut of beef it brings down the price.
Roast chicken with at least 5 vegetable including potato, pumpkin and sweet potatoes and pan made gravy is one of my favourite meals. Although a roast is easyq to prepare the cleanup is big. We don't have Sunday roast as such, more like any day roast.
I love bubble and squeek the following day for breakfast or dinner.
