Probably the one in the picture -Florence.
I love this quaint city and when I used to travel a lot, I went there every year.
It is quite small but is somehow fascinating, and I never tired of going there, or doing the things you can do in Florence.
Also some nice surrounding areas.
Finy! do you too want to come to Paris with me and eat Cake! :)
oh Jonah-having just got back from work where we went to the patisserie next doo rand bought such yummy cakes, I would have to say a resounding YES however, you would have to not be on a diet....
My favourite it definitely Vienna. I would really like to visit Krakow
I do not have a favourite.I love any historically beautiful cities where time seems to stand still and the world is a better place during the time spent there.
Good! you can come to Paris with us! ok :)
I've been to Paris a few times - I think Berlin, Prague, Brugue or Vienna would be top of my list!
I havent been to berlin but have been in jail in Vienna!!! that is the story I am keeping till some of us meet.
I travelled to Europe as a child with my parents and sister. We didn't see much of it though because we went to see family in specific parts of former Yugoslavia.
I would like to visit Paris and Rome - sorry to disappoint, they are what some would call 'stock standard' tourist hubs.
Once again we agree! scary, but would you want to do the 'Patisserie's' ?
If so we will have to go together! :)
I would like to go to Paris, have been to other European cities but not France for some reason....
Are you coming with Vee and myself? more the better, but you have to like cake!...lol :)
Pick me! Pick me!
Gotta see all the paintings, catacombs, & famous cemetery!
Oh! Cake, & bread to enjoy, too!
I loved Naples when there.
I think Paris would be next .....I mean they say ''See Paris and Die''! :)
Plus: The food would be wonderful to try, and the cake shops..OOps
I mean ''Patisserie''.
actually Jonaj, the food was SO expensive years ago in Paris, that there was little we ate so it certainly would NOT be my first choice for food....it was ridic ulous with a cup of coffee, if you sat down, at $10 in some places
I know....but who cares, once in a lifetime.....I will have to stay on this diet for another 8 months, then one week in Paris! ...and it will all be back on...lol.
I would like to go to Budapest because my parents spent time there on their honeymoon. I daresay it will have changed quite a bit since 1966!
Oh I forgot to add that I have never been to Europe. I haven't actually been out of Australia in thirty years!
Yes, I live in Ireland so other European cities are just across the pond from me.
I love Barcelona and Paris. The architecture is beautiful and they are amazing cities to wander about in.
I would love to visit every city in Europe - I'm not fussy and would be in heaven soaking up the culture and history anywhere.
Yes. Vienna.
Stayed a few weeks' with relies' of a friend here. They couldn't speak English, so I had to speak my school-girl German!
They took me to Innsbruck & Salzburg by train. Delightful! Saw many places where 'SoM' was filmed.
My main purpose for going there was to see a performance of the Spanish Riding School. I did. Amazing thing was they'd lived in Vienna all their lives' & had never seen it!
Have been to Athens, Sthn Spain, UK & Sthn Ireland.......all fabulous!
Would love to do a Rhine cruise, & go to Iceland for its' fascinating Geology! One day!
I think I have been to all or most capitals in Europe and lived in many. And loved them all. Impossible to choose one! Like when they ask: whom do you love more, mum or dad??!!
However, if "forced" to give an answer, I would probably choose London! I am from Trieste and do travel to London as much as I can!
I've been many times and intend to keep going back as long as I can. Love Prague - so beautiful. And Amsterdam - great city! But like Evaro said, too many to choose from... Though having said all this I still wouldn't LIVE anywhere but Australia.
I haven’t been to many European countries, but I have been to PARIS 5 times! I just LOVE paris! I lived there for 10 weeks in 1968. We’ve taken both our daughters to Paris, but I haven’t been there since 2003. (I have also been to the U.K. Italy, & Spain, & the Greek Islands,
I'd now like to visit Holland, as just LOVE, love, Love...tulips! Then any other European country I haven't visited yet, but I'd like to visit them while cruising.
Prague, Budapest, the Black Forest are a few of my favourites. Very disappointed with Paris which was beautiful at night but not so clean in the mornings. Also liked a number of towns on the river cruise but home is always best as we have so much to offer in our own country. Pity is it costs more to see it than go overseas on holiday.
