What is your favourite Christmas food gift?

At Christmas time, the usual dinner party chocolates are substituted for more festive fare. Or friends that 'don't give presents' will drop by with some homemade fudge or white Christmas.

Do you have a favourite? Do you give food as gifts at Christmas?

There's Stollen, Buche de Noel, Candy canes and little prefabricated gingerbread houses. Mulled wine is also popular, though not really suited to our Australian Christmas heat.

In terms of presents, the only food I tend to get is chocolates, which suits me just fine, because I love them. When it comes to Christmas food, however, the family likes to indulge in slices of stolen and roasted chestnuts.
I usually make macaroons, orange chocolate balls and cookies. Then package them in a nice basket and give them to family and friends.
I was introduced to the Gingerbread house many years ago. My kids were introduced to decorating it. And we all were introduced to eating it! LOL. So I would say - the Gingerbread house - homemade, decorated and consumed! ;)
My favourite food gift would have to be chocolate. Chocolate would probably be big on the women, not quite the men. All types of chocolate are great, but the luxury ones top the lot.
Fruit cakes are pretty traditional for the festive Christmas season.
The ginger houses. Otherwise mince pies.
