Carols by Candlelight is one of Australia's favourite community events, and throughout Australia hundreds are held during the weeks leading up to Christmas. What is your favourite Carols by Candlelight event and what makes it so special?

I have never been to one :((( The tv one is the closest I've been.

Here in Perth, the one at Cottesloe is really magical. You can enjoy a picnic as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean and then sing Christmas Carols with hundreds of other people. Highly recommended!

We don't have this event in the UK.
You'd have local towns/village events surely?

I'm sure lots of people gather to sing carols, but we don't have a specific event called Carols at Candlelight.
I think the Aussies do it here because it is the height of summer whereas we would never have been able to stand about freezing our bits off watching carols in the UK. LOL.

Haha, true. It is actually very mild here for winter here this year. Almost spring weather. The main problem would be how dark it is, even with candles and streetlights.
Any televised, but best is at Melbourne's Myer Music Bowl.

I tape it, so I can fast fwd adverts, & portions that have no interest for me.
Ive never attended.
I do not go to any of these events, so do not have a favourite

Carols by Candlelight in the Domain, Sydney, (NSW), & in out local cemetery, which is put on by the Ladies in White. funeral firm.
