Oh yes, I'd forgotten about wedding dresses! Well that's my most expensive piece of clothing for sure. Otherwise, in terms of everyday clothing, I had a jacket made for me for my fortieth birthday. It's handmade and the fabric is Harris Tweed, so a real luxury item but I'm told that if I look after it, it will last for the rest of my life! So averaged out, it should work out pretty reasonable I hope.
I don't own any that is expensive.
Those days are gone.
I do own a handbag that is designer.
I got it from a second hand shop, and it is worth maybe $200 from what I can see they cost.
In amazing condition, I paid $15 for it...by Pierre Cardin, it is something else.
I have only once used it, as I felt a tad strange, maybe one day I will use it more.
For me I believe is simple leaving. I do not like Expensive things.
I would have to say that my bridal dress did cost a small fortune. The only problem is that it has no resale value. fashion changes, etc. But I still have it. maybe my daughter can wear it one day.
I don't spend much on clothes. I won't spend more than £25 on a top or £30 on trousers. The most expensive item I own is my raincoat, which was somewhere between £100-£150.
I've still got my wedding dress and that would be the most expensive piece of clothing I have ever owned.
I bought a good warm jacket for winter this year thought I would spoil myself and it will do me for a very long time if not forever
I think that I once paid around $200 for a dress...and, over 10 years later, it still has the tag on it! Another dress I bought for around the same amount got worn a few times.
My shoes. They're birkenstocks lol But I must say, those green shoes look mighty fine!
This custom made costume was really expensive - even at mates rate. I think the wonderful woman charged about $7 an hour. The silk fabric alone was around $150. Now I have put on weight and I can just squeeze into it but it 'squeezes' body parts into alarming contours. Hopefully it will be an incentive to trim down.
It's copied from Caroline Bingley's dress in a Pride and Prejudice movie.
