I only started watching Dr Who some 6 months ago and at the time, it was David tennant who was the Dr.

I recognised him from Broadchurch, a series I really looked forward to watching each week, but grew to just adore him in Dr Who.

I have his pictures all around (no, I dont have a real life partner!!!) and think he is both stunning as an actor, and has the most stunning face!
DIVINE.....and I have not thought this way about anyone in a long time!

Now I get it! I think he is quite the talented actor!

People do and can have a crush on certain actors.
I have when younger, and even now find one or two actors who are quite appealing.
This actor for me is sadly not one of them...and we have to remember that it is a very personal thing, to like someone who crosses all the boxes for you..
For me I have two.
Jim Caviezel & Johnny Depp.

What one may see in someone, is not always the case for another....
Jonah -and lucky we are all different in our tastes. We could have gone out together as youngsters -LOL!

Oh! jonaj, fully with you here!

Jim Caviezel lives by a strict moral code, & I applaud him for that. I also really, really enjoy his acting/character in 'Person of Interest'. He's perfect in that role.

To me, Johnny Depp is THE most consummate 'young' hwd. actor today. His portrayal in 'Ed Wood' was the best!

I thought he was fabulous in Doctor Who, and found it the pits when the series he was in ended. I don't like this new doctor. :(

Matt Smith -I did not at first but he is growing on me!
I wait for David Tennant in other things as he is so devine!

I had enjoyed watching David Tennant in several performances prior to his stand out as Doctor Who. He can be very straight and serious as well as hilariously absent-minded and witty!!Even his voice-overs for animated characters are fabulously individual.
He played Barty Crouch Jr in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to an absolute TEE!!! Who would ever have known that from age 16 he was playing mainly Shakespearean roles including Romeo?! I think he would have been a very yummy Romeo!! The first thing I saw him in which really made a huge impact was the dark musical comedy/drama called Blackpool. It was made in 2004,but not shown here in Oz till 2005. This really highlighted his amazing talents and so when I saw him in the role of The Doctor,I didn't miss a single episode! As he has been acting since childhood, it is little wonder he is so very accomplished in so many varied aspects of the craft!! He definitely gets my vote in the talent and popularity stakes!!
I think he's absolutely gorgeous, but what really does it for me is his accent ~swoon~
Be great if you could understand what he's saying.

Like John Hannah, & James Nesbitt, their accent is so broad to my ears, I don't watch any show they're in. Needs subtitles!

I thought that one attribute of an ACTOR would be is to have the ability to speak, so ALL listeners' can understand.
I've seen David Tennant in Dr Who, Broadchurch and just last night the film "What we did on our holiday". Also other films and each time a very different character - he plays them well and anyway, he is easy to watch! Yup the accent too is a plus
I think the fact that background information is needed as part of your question explains who David Tennant is.....not very recognizable to a number of people (such as me, for example)
You didn't see him in 'Blackpool' then, his first TV series?

David's first tv drama (a six-parter) was made in 1994 entitled "Takin over the Asylum".

David Tennant is an amazingly talented actor who has rightly won at least two Best Actor awards in one category or another every year for the last 10 years. He can do everything from Shakespeare to RomCom with such an amazing ability to bring the story to life that one tends to forget the artistry required. He is, very simply, amazing, not to mention brilliant. If you don't know who he is - you have a wonderful treat in store as you find out.
Mmmm, yum.
I think he is a brilliant actor. I have seen him in so many roles over the years, the diversity of which is amazing. I think he will go on to become a real character actor in his later years. Of course, it helps that he is Scottish (think Sean Connery)!
Prefer NOT to think of SC. he beat his first wife, Diane Cilento, unconscious one time. Not a nice person, like so many people these days, in the 'public eye'.
