Dame Judy Dench is one of the best actors we have seen.
She has so much talent, able to play each part so very well....in the different roles given to her.
I have not seen her do one bad movie or show.
It comes down to knowing what your able to play, and not taking 'roles' that do not suit.
I think Judi Dench is one of the best actors around. She comes across as a very nice person and plays roles that never seem forced. She is aging gracefully and is a terrific role model. I love to see mature women in lead roles.
I was horrified recently when I heard that she was almost blind- fortunately that turned out to be completely false!
Dame Judy is one of my favourites, along with Maggie Smith and Helen Mirren. Best of all, no botox, no plastic surgery and no nips and tucks. Just goes to show you don't need those things when you can really act and are appreciated for it.
I have been an avid fan of Dame Judi Dench since her TV roles first shared her talent with the world! In 'As Time Goes By' she is so witty, and naturally appealing, always able to make me smile. Her portrayal in 'Cranford was so totally different ,yet still utterly captivating! Her later roles in big budget movies only proved to audiences what a brilliantly talented lady she is,Esio Trot with Dustin Hoffman was pure delight from beginning to end while. I also loved her very believable Queen Elizabeth 1 in 'Shakespeare in Love' .It is amazing to think that her international recognition first came with the role of 'M' in the James Bond films!! What an awesome talent this elegant and much respected lady hs shown us for over half a century now!!! She is simply timeless as an actress and delightful as a human being!I only wish I could have seen her in the theatre roles which kickstarted her acting career all those years ago....
I've loved her in all her movies. She's also had her acting career in the (James) Bond movies of cause. And who could forget her in the tv series of, As Times Goes By'? MY other 1/2 still watches the repeats of the A.T.G.B!
I liked her in the film Philomena (as well as other films).
I always thought she would have done better than Helen Mirren in the movie The Queen.
There is an actress Glenda Blethlyn (only a little sure that is her name) that is a very under rated actress and better than Judy Dench and Helen Mirren. So .
La Dame Dench is terrific, one of my faves, also Julie Walters, first in Educating Rita with Michael Caine & lately was the Dancing teacher in Billy Elliott. JW is similar to JD in that they are certainly women of substance!
Judi Dench is one of my favourite actresses. She is so versatile and real. I don't think there is a role that I haven't liked her in. I would love to meet her in person as I think she would be fascinating.
