I don't think there is anything wrong with it if that is what the person wants. It is no one's business except the person it is happening to, and the way some children are treated makes me believe there is nothing wrong with MTP.
I also do not believe anyone should push his or her opinion onto anyone else in this matter as it is a very personal question.
If life is going forward unless an action is taken to end it then taking that action is the act of murder. A baby in the womb is alive. I actually feel sorry for the women lured into this action by a community that has tried to water down the facts. Their are thousands of good people who would love and cherish a child so if you don't want the gift of a child then offer the child up for adoption don't commit murder
kstew, you know what scares me? Many people have absolutely no idea what an abortion entails. It's horrific, and there is now evidence to show that children in-utero feel pain and try to avoid medical instruments. How ghastly. I don't know if you have heard the testimonies of any people whose mothers attempted to abort them, but they too are ghastly.
I feel its really up to the couple or even more the mother to decide.
Some times the baby is diagnosed with a genetic disorder, in such cases MTP is necessary. Why to bring that child in the world and make it suffer for life?
I cannot imagine being in this situation and, in saying the following, pass no judgement on those who have chosen to terminate a pregnancy on medical grounds, but I do not believe it is ethical or moral. A life is a life. The only difference between us and an 'embryo' is time. Besides, haven't we come far enough, medically speaking, to overcome reasons for MTP? I suppose not if we have to ask these sorts of questions. How I wish our governments would stop pouring ridiculous amounts of money into warfare and space programs and invest it into things that can actually make a difference to the every day lives of people.
