What are your favourite types of street performers?

I find a lot of street performers annoying because they won't just 'get on with it'. They do all this talking and build up, but it takes them about half an hour before they actually do anything. I'm rather shy, so don't like it when they try to interact with you or get you involved. I prefer musicians that you can listen to while walking around because you can still do what you need to do without having to stop and watch.

I love the ones that show magic or dance beautifully to music. There are some great talents out there.

I like street singers and the ones who pretend to be statues. Some of them are really talented. However, some painters just paint all over the pavements, making it difficult for people to walk by. Some street performers also manage to block the path during their performance, which I find annoying.

I enjoy the ones that go to all the effort to get painted in colours and stay really still to pose as statues of famous people.

I love stilt walkers and reckon any buskers deserve an award for bravery, just for getting up there and giving it a go.

It's not free really, because their hoping for donations! I saw 1 girl in the Pit Street Mall who was singing Opera, outside Myer once. WoW what a voice. I hope someone who was with the opera company saw & heard her!! Her voice gave me goosebumps. The ones I don't like, are the statues, & a few times at Circular Quay, I used to see a man dressed as a donkey! Heaven help us!
