Because we have had little rain, Bush Fires will be quite bad this summer.

Are you worried?

We have had some shockers in the last few years.I am worried because you never know how things will go . Will the winds pick up, where will it travel?...and we tend to forget about the people fighting them. This has to be a time of concern for the men and women who fight them, and the summer to come.

I'm so glad I don't live somewhere with bush fires. I'd be in constant fear.
It's only really when the weather heats up.
They have them in California in the US, too.

The fires have indeed been terrible in many places throughout Australia.

Had this question been asked a few years ago I would have said a definite yes as I lived on 5 acres and next door was a bush block that was a disaster waiting to happen.

I used to get nervous if I went out for the day as I had all my animals who would have been trapped had a fire started on the block next door.

At the moment I am in suburbia so I am not actually scared for myself however I do worry about all those people living in vulnerable areas and amongst bush and trees.

I think it was about 3 years ago, and we saw such devastation...we all were so taken by surprise. When we haven't had the rain...we must prepare.Never think it won't come.

I'm not worried in the least, men tend to make so many fantastic preditions, many of which never come to fruition. Notwithstanding its good to be prepared.
I'm not sure I would agree.

The fires of recent years have been horrendous and have shown that even in the suburbs, especially the outer suburbs, we cannot be complacent.

There was a time I would have said it was of concern only to people living in rural or bush areas, but not any more.

In 2009 my husband and I stood in our suburban back yard watching the Ericson Elvis helicoptre working at the top of our estate.

Yes, I worry every summer.
yep me too.
