Why choose? I like all three, though I prefer Maths and English to Science. I have A-levels in Maths, Further Maths and English Literature as I really couldn't choose one or the other :)
I'm an accountant (though I haven't worked now for many years) and I used both subjects for my job. Numeracy was obviously important but so was being able to write clearly and concisely - many many reports, letters to clients, communicating with solicitors and other professionals.... also information being released to the stock markets. English skills came in very handy for all of those!
English was my thing, though I didn't so much enjoy the lessons we had in it at school because unlike with maths they did not stream the classes, so the more advanced students had to just sit there cooling their heels waiting for the slower students to catch up. It was a lot more interesting to study it at university where people were only in the class if they actually wanted to be. I am a writer now so I use what I learned.
ENGLISH, by a country mile! Loved it. Still can't get enough of it. Do DVD Courses on it now, including its' Language, its' Formation, read all Prof David Crystal's books.
Enjoy Science next, even though Grade 8 only, as did Commercial Junior & Academic Senior.
But since have studied informally many of the -ologies' & -onomies'. As don't have to sit formal exams & don't want to, this is one of my ways to keep my 'little grey cells' ticking over!
Oh! Rice, you beat me!
Interesting that for many years, my work involved complicated mathematical workings, but as what I was doing made 'sense' to me, unlike School Maths, I flew through all my Courses! Lol!
