I think it’s certainly possible to love somebody and ‘have the hots’ for somebody else, but is it possible to be in love with two people at the same time?

You can love more than one child equally, so why not more than one lover? Not something I've experienced personally but some people certainly say they love more than one person romantically and I take them at their word.
No I don't think so
Yes, of course. I don't see why you can only be in love with one person at a time. There probably wouldn't be as much adultery if that wasn't the case. There are people in the world who also have three way relationships, and are perfectly happy with that arrangement.
I have never experienced that.
I have done that in the past... but now that I am older and wiser I think that you actually make a choice to love and I choose to love only my husband.
Tracie, I have to agree with you. Love is not only a feeling but a choice as well.

Been there done that.
I think this is a great question. I have always wondered about it but don't know the answer.
I am leaning to say that traditionally, it is only acceptable to love one person at one time. I sometimes wonder how it would work out, if a man or a woman loved more than one person, would they all love together; it seems a but complicated.
I imagine it would be very complicated. Emotions can be a wonderful thing, but they can also be agonising.

It is a possibility, however, you will always feel like you prefer one slightly over the other.

This is a complex question!
I don't really think this is possible -not in the same way however many people have more than one love at the same time -I just do not agree with it and could not live with someone who did!

No, i don't think so. I've never met anyone personally who has experienced this either.
Yes, definitely.
Had FOUR boyfriends' going at the one time!
I wasn't 'playing the field', THEY were!

The situation got very funny sometimes, with one arriving at the front door, & my pushing one to go to his car through the back door!!

I was just a 'plain Jane' (still am!), but I seemed to 'attract' these blokes, like a 'moth to a flame'. I wasn't a 'loose' female either.

One was a Solicitor, one a Finance guru, one a Radio/Electric whizz & one a Scientist.
I married the last, & remained 'friends' with the rest! Way to go! Lol!
donjo, you sound as though you have a very interesting and exciting story to tell, LOL.
