Is it important to learn about ancient history?

I love ancient history, and I think it is fascinating. On the list of importance, however, I would put it as 'a bonus to have', rather than essential knowledge. I think it is more important - or at least useful in a practical sense - to have a greater knowledge of our more recent history.

I am not sure if it is important to learn about ancient history. But ancient philosophy is quite interesting. I think people who are interested in history and stuff want to learn it for academic purposes, I don't think there is much relevance to our present life.

I don't think it's an important thing to get you through life. But if the interest is there an your really get into it and learn all about history it could change your life if you go to see the places and things your so interested in

EVERYTHING which affects our daily lives comes from it.

Think Language, the various Sciences', Mathematics, Architecture, Medicine, the Arts, Engineering et al.
The Philosophers', Law, Government Principles'.

Thank goodness for it!
