I still have my wedding dress. It was the most beautiful dress I have ever seen, so why would I get rid of it. There are many wonderful, happy memories associated with it. I wore it on the best day of my life. My daughter may want to use it one day . Who knows !!!
I have been married twice and didn't dress as a bride for either. The first dress a smart cream dress with black trim was worn until I could wear it no longer and finally disposed of. The second dress has never been worn again and has been stored in a box for 15 years. It is a more formal white dress that I am too big for now.
I still have my mini long sleeve dress with tiny covered bottoms down the front to the waist. I never wore it again after I had it dry-cleaned & its still in a box with tissue paper, 49 years & I month later! I also still have the shoes, that I'd had covered in white satin. The dress was $50. It also wasn't a wedding dress. I saw it in a dress shop window in some other colour & asked the shop owner if they could make it for me in white, & so they did.
