How would you defend your home in the event of a zombie apocalypse?

Had I the money I would have a fortified underground bunker built in case of such a scenario - as it stands I'll probably be fleeing with the rest of them!

Great Question. Luckily zombies will only have a 2 weeks life span due to the flesh eating maggots that will populate the earth because of decaying flesh. Ideally, a prison (as in the walking dead) may be a safe choice. Or, jumping on a boat and riding the ocean for 2 to 3 weeks....maybe more! As fire arms are not allowed, one would need to up your skills in defense with kitchen tools, and other things. And, like all other emergencies, make sure you have supplies of first aid, fuel, lights, sterilizers for water, and food.

I know it sounds stupid, but I have spend a lot of time planning for the zombie apocalypse. I'm not crazy enough to think that a day will come where the world is populated by the shuffling undead, but I still continue plan for it. I have a list of necessities like food, batteries and weapons, I have homes picked out in my area that are easily defensible if mine had to be abandoned, escape plans if things get out of hand. I even have entertainment plans, because seriously, there would be a lot of time spend sitting around bored while hiding from the undead. Luckily, all of this thinking can apply to many different end-game scenarios, so if that day ever comes, I can at least pretend I'm prepared. :/

The movie of "The Panic Room" comes to mind, but I would need the money for that. Luckily for us we have one room which has no windows, and just a door. I could resort to using that...but outside of that I would probably be in the same situation as everyone else!

Well I have always had a plan in the back of my head.
I sat down with my family, and of course because life is so very unpredictable....we came up with a plan.
Because we have a Locksmith in our family and our own business,we have it covered.

Not because of ''Zombies''..lol

But, because we love security.So There is a 7 foot high fence, with electric gate.10 cameras, all around the perimeter of the house.It can be watched on the 55inch t.v. in the lounge room.

But, if there were Zombies..would one stay home? or just leave.
I am not too sure, I would stay, due to the normal people looking for help too.

To remove yourself from a town or city, is the best option maybe.
Less people, less trouble.
Yep.......... I would leave with the family, go-bush.
