How often do you change your clothes?

In some TV programmes/films, they show exaggerated characters wearing a different outfit every scene. Are there people like that in real life? Do you wear more than one outfit in a day, or can you go a week wearing the same clothes?

Once you've finished wearing an outfit for the day does it go back in your wardrobe or always in the wash basket?

Once a day, unless I am going out in the evening, then I will change into my "good" clothes for that, then again at bed time. Also if I get particularly dirty or sweaty, eg. if I've been running, I'll wear my running gear and shower and change after. I wear fresh undies and a fresh shirt every day but I might wear the same skirt or trousers a few days in a row if nothing has happened to get it particularly dirty (eg. a small child wiping their hands on my pants).
For me it depends on the day of the week. During the week I'm working and usually in the office so I have my smart work clothes. If I've been wearing a suit or dress suit then I'll hang it back up when I get home and get it dry cleaned when needed. I immediately change into casual clothes as I have too young boys and there are too many sticky fingers and snotty noses to risk wearing good clothes for too long at home.
I will often wear the same clothes for several days as long as they are clean. I can't be bothered to keep looking in my wardrobe for something new to wear. I'll only put clothes in the wash if they are dirty or sweaty; there's no point creating extra work.
If I am going out somewhere special,or church I have certain clothes.
They are better quality, than every day wear.
I put them back in my wardrobe, after wearing them.

My every day clothes, slacks and a top, I always put the top in the wash that night.
The pants I wear another day or two, as they are made of good quality.I give them a rinse after 3 days.
If I have been working around the house, or mowing ect, I have a shower after and ditch those clothes and in the washer they go.
I must admit my son and I do change a fair bit, hence my over 12 washes a week!
But we live in a country that has more heat than cold.
My son never saves any clothes he has worn that day, everything gets washed the next day or so, he changes sometimes twice a day.
My washing machine is used 7 days a week!
That's just how we are.
No way, I'll wear one outfit once a week, but then I might repeat it again the following week. I like to mix it up every now and then, but I think 1 outfit a day is good enough (unless of course, you go to the gym, in which case, have a shower straight after the workout and put on some fresh clothes) :o)
I change them when they stop fitting me and that happens quite often :)
Apart from jeans, everything else I wear goes into the wash basket to be washed. Jeans I'll wear a couple of days in a row unless they get something on them because they take longer to dry and don't look dirty to me if I've only worn them once.

Every day. I can't understand how people go to the office (walking) in their suits with a pair of runners on (sometimes in winter an overcoat as well) and then when they arrive at work they slip into a pair of shoes and work the whole day.
I think they must be uncomfortable all day, I mean you would have to work up a bit of a sweat, wouldn't you ?
once a year!

I change clothes daily. I wear loungers in the morning if I'm at home and change into a different outfit if going out. In the evening I wear my exercise gear for walking, come home, have a shower, and back into lounging gear.

I do tend to wear jeans for maybe 2/3 days if nothing spilled on them. Tops go in the laundry basket after one use.
