I probably have about 10 on there and they are all necessary.
Though one of them I have no idea what it is for -and it is a heavy one, but do not want to throw it out in case it is important!! I guess if I havent needed it for a few years, it is probably not important.

I have house keys, garage remote, car key, burglar alarm remote, back door key, volunteer shop key, fly screen key etc etc.

Two, and actually I only use one of them. I'm not even sure what the other one is for.
I have ten: a car key, a house key, a key for the display case at work, 3 more for my work, 2 for padlocks, one for hand cuffs, and a last for my mail box.
After recently replying to the question about the type of key ring I use,and saying that I just keep my key in a special segment of my purse,I can now amend the reply and let you all know that I DO in fact have a key ring in my bag!! It has photos of my deaf Shar pei when she was a very cute roly poly puppy of just 8 weeks!! But I do not, alas, have any keys on it!! Ha ha ha ha!!!!! Too Funny!! I don't have lots of keys as I no longer work, and I do not drive.
I have two locks on my front door so I have two keys on my key ring - only necessary if you think being able to lock and unlock the front door is necessary! I do :)
I keep my car key on a separate key ring and only take that with me when i am driving.
So not heavy.
It is not advised to have more than 6-7 keys, due to the strain it gives, when the keys are in a car ignition.(That's if you start your car with a key).

I try not to carry anymore than totally necessary...I also have spare ignition and house key in my bag, if I lose my bunch of keys.
Plus....I have one hidden for the house, and another spare ignition in the house.

My son's are Locksmith's what can I say LOL...
I have 6- I don't know what 2 of them do

. . . and you can bet you would find out if you ever threw them out! Murphy's Law.

The house key and the car key. Like to travel pretty light. Nothing worse than clunking , heavy keys when you are trying to open a door with arms loaded full of shopping. Like to travel light if I can.
I have lots on my key ring, some necessary and some probably belonging to places I have long vacated. There is one to my chastity belt that I haven't used for some time now. There is one to my heart that I never use these days.
My keys aren't the problem!

It's my love of key RINGS!
The keys on my main one are ALL necessary to be there!
All the superfluous keys are on a giangantic snap-hook! Weighs a ton! But no need for me to carry that one around!
If I did, I'd be 'cousin' to Qasimodo!
I have a key to the house, key to the wire door, key to my car and key to my husbands car.
Car key and door key. I have always been taught that the ignition on a car should not have the weight of a pile of keys on it.

6 keys on one ring and car keys (3) on a separate ring.
I have a key ring from Disneyland with my name on it and a key to the security door and front door. The other key ring is Minnie Mouse and she's attached to the front of my handbag with my keyless entry for my car.
As I don't drive, I just have 2 keys on a piece of green ribbon for the 2 locks on our front door. 1 of the keys is green & the other 'gold' so I know which key is for which lock, but i always forget anyway! I keep these in a tiny little cotton purse with pink 'raised' roses on it. (They didn't have any with tulips, & I'd bought this 1 for my friend, but ended up keeping it for myself.) So I always take my keys incase my husband loses his car keys with his front door keys on it. We still don't have a set hidden in the garden anywhere!

I have six keys. They are for my house & studio. I also have a remote control for my gate and shed attached and a small set of nail clippers. My car keys are separate. A few weeks ago I went through my keys and found I still had three on my key ring for my Grandmother's home. As she has been dead a few years and her home sold I left them in the letterbox with a note for the present owners.
