Mine lasts about 1 day and then chips at the top.
I recently tried putting on nail polish again on my very soft nails but it still chipped at the top of the nail by the next day.
That is why I stopped wearing nail polish -have tried all different brands, and this time tried an expensive brand, but no different to the cheap ones!
For me 2 - 3 days, at the very most.
I have tried a lot of nail polish brands.
I think also it is because I use my hands all the time,(in and out of water) and it just will not last.
So I have taken now to not wearing the stuff!
mine look like your photo Jonaj -i also stopped but thought I would try again when I see all these lovely nails.
But the girls at my shop all have acrylic nails and they last for weeks on those!
I have never had fake nails...but then again my own have not grown much this year....so I will just have to sit-it-out! I really need to start looking after my hands more so.... :(
I have never used nail polish before. I don't see the point. Nails look beautiful without it, and they look a darn sight worse when the polish is chipped. It is also too much faffing about.
I have not worn nail polish for several years now,I prefer to simply buff my natural nails as I find they do look rather lovely without added colour. I was blessed with my mother's beautiful nails and when younger I would always wear pretty colours. Actually the most recent polish I used was the more expensive Avon variety, and I found this would always last very well. The secret for me,anyway, was always to make certain that the nails were spotlessly clean before applying the polish. A base coat also helps a huge amount,as does a top coat. YES!!! It is a LOT more work, but I would get 5 days from the nail polish application when done this way!. It was always such a joy when people commented on my lovely nails, especially as they were NOT acrylics!!!!
I usually get manicures and they last me several weeks. They massage your hands, buff, shape, do your cuticles and put on a lovely shade of polish of your choosing. Since I first had a manicure with a friend, I won't ever do it any other way. When my husband and I went on a cruise, my feet and nails looked perfect the whole time we were away. No chipped nails.

Only lasts for a couple of days at best. But how can I stop my nail from splitting not across, but up into the nail bed? Nail polish doesn't work. Awful.
Only a day or two. I do a lot of housework and gardening and I can't be bothered investing in expensive products like gel nails or touching them up. Mostly I just don't bother to paint them.
I do too much manual Labour to wear nail polish.
I don't often paint my nails. Usually I paint my toes, as I can't paint my finger nails for work.
And my toes last around 24 hours before a noticeable chip occurs.
It usually lasts me 2 or 3 days without chipping
Mine lasts 4 days to a week without noticeable chips. Doing a lot more office work lately so maybe that's why.
probably a day or so. but is I need it to last longer I would go for shellac - it stays on for quite a while.
I don't wear nail polish on my fingernails. I used to have a habit of chipping off the polish when I was younger. Terrible stuff.
Only 3/4 days. I don't wear it very often, but our eldest granddaughter likes to see me wearing it when we visit her in Melbourne!
Unfortunately, I don't use nail polish because I bite my nails, I allways have, what I would give for a solution to this problem.
Diana, I too used to ALWAYS bite my nails. For me I think it was a nervous thing.
I'd still paint my nails though & I had about 55 colours to choose from! Then when I turned 70, I (mostly) stopped biting them! At the moment I have 7 'good' nails & 3 bitten ones! Years & years ago, I tried something from the chemist that tasted awful when you go to bite your nails. Or your Dr may have a solution, when you have to go to see 1 about another matter, you could also ask about the nail biting as well. Another idea I was told about a long time ago, was to sit on ones hands when your not using them, eg while watching tv or a movie.
