No, this question does not concern those kind of regrets, I just couldn’t find a suitable image and thought that the message conveyed by this one was fairly relevant.

Jokes aside, regret can be challenging to overcome, so how do you?

I used to not deal with regret however have learnt that it gets me nowhere, and only makes ME unhappy so it is a useless feeling and I mostly drive it out of my thoughts if it comes creeping back in.

I learnt to do this over the years as I learnt that I felt better without dwelling on regrets and is therefore for me, a form of self preservation.

As hard as this is to swallow, do not cry over split milk. Live and learn, and just move on. Again, easier than it sounds - yet this pearl of wisdom means you can move on and become wiser next time.
Ah Yes! Regret..

I have it, but I don't let it get much 'head space'...Now.
I did many many years ago, and it nearly made me go crazy!!
The moment it comes, then I have to say.....too late!

At the time....the greater amount of people, will 'feel & think' that the choice they picked, at that time Was correct.

On reflection: Like myself, and mine is a huge 'one', it was not the right choice.
But, at that time I could not see ''the forest for the tree's '.

Freedom of choice......Free will.
We all at some time Will make a bad choice.

What we do with it, later in life is up to us...But! if we let it ruin or upset our lives, we loose full stop.

I guess you just have to learn to be able to move on. Sure, sometimes things happen (or you actually do something) that doesn't go well. That's part of the process of life I'm afraid. You can't live in the past because things that have happened can't be undone. You just have to somehow reconcile with yourself to do better in the future and get on with doing just that.
Depends on how big the regret is. If it is minor, then I just shake it off, but if it were a big regret, then I'd probably not be able to deal with it very well. Fortunately I have had no big regrets in my life so far.
I believe the universe will give you another opportunity sometimes or atleast tell yourself that .
I don't know whether that would generate more regret or not. Wouldn't it be better to create the opportunity yourself, instead of waiting for it to present itself?

Yeah you are right . Either create or take on the next time it manifests.
