We have a barbie at my son's place, and just have a good time...Sometimes maybe we go out for a drive to the beach, or lake.
Got to have also some Pavlova, struth.Few beers for the boys.Have a swim in the pool.
We all know we are lucky, to be livin here in OZ !!! yep she's a little beauty.
We tend to hang out at home by the pool and just have a quiet day, as most beaches and parks are so busy.
Explore the city's activities, as well as go to the 9pm fireworks at Darling Harbour in Sydney. Otherwise the traditional BBQ rules.
I like checking out the local events my council puts on. The kids love the rides and I love the music and fireworks at the end of the night.
Great question. I like to celebrate the multicultural side of life in Australia - remember for many Indigenous Australians, this day is not something to celebrate and often it is referred to as Reconciliation Day instead, as a way of acknowledging the original inhabitants of our amazing country. Hope you all have a fun public holiday anyway.

Last few years we've gone away with 6 other families - not really for Australia Day but for the long weekend. Last year we played cricket and raised money for cancer.
Great day to have drinks by the bay with people you love :)
I try to have as typical an 'Aussie' day as I can!

Seafood Brekky with champers & very cold OJ.

For lunch, Ham Salad, or as sambo's, with a hot cuppa!

For Dinner, Lamb, usually Roast with the usual veggies, lashings of Gravy & a really good drop of an Aussie Red.
And, of course, Dessert is a freshly made Pav!

I really enjoy Australia Day, as it makes me just SO THANKFUL to be born in such a beautiful, fabulous country!
