I had a look but all I could find for my kindle was a whole book of his short stories for $98. Then I remembered . . . go to the library! So, in the next couple of days I shall pop out to the library and have a squizzy.

I read this years ago while I was at school. One of my kid's brought it to my attention the other day. It's a short story about the haunting reality of war - the Civil War in Ireland to be specific. It's a great read.

No, I haven't heard of it, but I'll ask my husband if he'd like to read it. He's interested in war stories.

I did find it, miro_, sort of . . . it was on hold but when I move house there is a lovely new library up the road and around the corner, so I will join and hopefully find it there :-)
