Have you ever won anything in a competition?

Always enter - last year I won a tonne of stuff - this year not so much...but you've got to be in it to win it...

I won a few movie tickets and tickets to events. I like entering in competitions as Lydia said, you never know you might win.

I won $100 with a major mag, writing advice one time,back in 1994.
I have also won two handbags.
And that's about it....So better than 'nothing', some people don't even get a look in. They try and try and try....nothing! poor things. :(

It wasn't a competition per se, but I did win a Coldplay CD whenI called into a radio station.

I've hot the jackpot a couple of times, but the pot was relatively small both times. Once, I won a hand-drawn image from a comic artist, and once I won an office-wide bingo. That was pretty cool, because it was $400 bucks.

Yes, just last year! I entered a Facebook competition to see who could drum up the most likes for the Scenic Rim Robotic Dairy. I won and got to take a group of friends to the dairy for a tour and a BBQ lunch with Farmer Gregie. We had a fantastic day on the farm, in fact I didn't want to return to Brisbane EVER!

I think I won a raffle once or twice but nothing in a competition you send in for.

I no longer send in as gave up years ago on this type of thing.

i have a friend who enters so many, it must take up half her day.
I have however won tickets etc on radio shows

I haven’t won anything major, but while woking at DJ’s, in Sydney, in the middle 60’s, I won a small bag of cosmetics, & when I was working in an office in 1975 with a pharmaceutical firm, I won a beautiful ‘gold’ box of Revlon cosmetics. I still have the (empty) box! The other 3 woman in the office won a bra each! The competition was from the Australian Woman’s Weekly. I’ve also won movie double passes, 1 of them was to see ‘Amy’, which I sent to a daughter & her partner in Melbourne. I have also won pieces of clothing. I once bought 3 tickets in an art gallery raffle, & won the prize of a Reg Mombassa t-shirt, DVD & a book about his art. I’ve now forgotten what else I’ve won, because I didn’t keep a list! A few years ago, a friend won a t.v. so big, they couldn’t get it up the stairs of their house, so she had to leave it down stairs in the family room, until they sold it!
