Have you ever used a rotating spit to cook meat on?

I have only had the ones made on the models that are plugged in. I like when cickhen is roasted on the spit.

No I haven't - I don't think I've ever seen someone have one in their back garden! It's quite popular here for big parties and weddings to hire a professional to do a hog roast and the meat then is yummy.

Pork. Our family has done this for as long as I can remember, and it doesn't have to be a fancy spit either. Something makeshift will often do just as well.

However, I think some BBQ restaurants have a mini-rotating spit where you can cook your meat to your desired texture - right on your table!

Yes, we had a battery powered one for the BBQ. It just sat over the grill.
Rotisseried meat of any type is just delicious. I don't know if BBQ's Galore still sell them.
Even Rotisseried meat in oven is great!

As a matter of fact my hubby cooked roast pork on our BBQ rotisserie just last night and it was beautiful! Crispy, crunchy crackling and lovely moist meat! Yum!

no i have not, attended a BBQ many years ago where they had a whole/side of beef where the spit had to turned by hand that was something to see , meat was perfectly cooked .
