Yes, I have tried using them to no avail!
I could neither get them in or out.
A friend worked at an optometrist and she came in the morning and put them in, however I just could not get them out and I tried and tried...after about 10 days I gave up and decided I would have to go on wearing glasses all my life!
Not such a bad thing nowadays as it hides bags under eyes and i find such great glass frames!
Yes, I wore contact lenses for quite a few years. Then I got sick of getting conjunctivitis all the time, no matter how much I cleaned them. Now my frames for my glasses are so thin that you barely know that I am wearing them. They almost look rimless, but they aren't, so they are very natural looking.
Yes,I have tried to use contact lenses,I found them uncomfortable, and could not get used to them, and also the cleaning of them is very important, I did drop it from time to time, and it was a pest trying to find it.
No, as I'm sure I'd keep loosing them! I'd had cataracts on both eyes for a few years now, but had them removed from the right eye last week. When I have the left eye done, I was told I'd still need reading glasses, but I certainly won't mind that. It will be lovely having a new pr of frames!
Yes, I have worn cosmetic contacts as well as prescription contacts. I tried using the contacts that can stay in your eyes for 30 days and you can sleep in them but found that they seemed to dry out and require a lot of eye drops so I returned to putting them in and taking them out daily.
I have stopped for two reasons, apparently my eyesight has improved and they are no longer needed, AND, I had to have a different strength for each eye which got confusing at times.
