Have you ever tried to find the end of a rainbow?

Yesterday I was in the Sunshine Coast hinterland and as a storm was building the most amazing rainbow appeared. One end of the rainbow was so close to us that it was tempting to try and find the it - and maybe that elusive pot of gold! Have you ever tried to find the end of a rainbow?

Rainbows are such large things I don't know if the end point of light is attainable. I've never thought about looking for the end but I never tire of looking a the beauty of a rainbow.
I love searching for it .... with my eyes lol Usually the rainbows I see are over the river, so it's kinda hard to imagine I can find the end of it. Maybe there's a heap of gold in the river!
When I was younger, I used to try and find the end. Then I realised that everytime I got close, it just moved away. So I pretty much gave up and decided that there was no end. But it is fun to imagine if there was an end...
I have always wanted to drive down a long, lonely path, while chasing the end of a rainbow! I have tried running for about 20 minutes (in vain), looking for the other end of the rainbow.
